Bacta-Pur® XLG is a liquid suspension of balanced community of natural beneficial microorganisms, which have been selected for their capacity to biodegrade organic waste. It converts pollution into bacterial biomass, which becomes natural healthful food for fishes and invertebrates.

Bacta-Pur® XLG(A) includes Bacta-Pur® XLG together with Bacta-Pur® ACTIVATOR 1 & 2. This product allows a manual pre activation of bacteria before its addition.

The Bacta-Pur® ACTIVATOR 1 & 2 are ECOPREBIOTICS™, essential nutrients for manual pre activation of Bacta-Pur® XLG to maximize bacterial numbers and production of enzymes for digestion of organic solids. They do not contain the animal products. They are provided in small bags.

Treatment with Bacta-Pur® XLG(A)

Ponds are treated with a combination of two products, Bacta-Pur® XLG and Bacta-Pur® N3000. One liter of Bacta-Pur® XLG has to be applied weekly per 1,000,000 liters pond water.

The application technique consists of preactivating Bacta-Pur® XLG for 24 hours; Bacta‑Pur® ACTIVATOR 1 & 2 with precise instructions are attached to each bottle. An equal amount of Bacta-Pur® N3000 can then be added to the mixture. The mixture is then stirred for 30 minutes. It is important to diluate the mixture, 10-100 times, with pond water, before spraying or splashing over the surface of the pond, to assure an even distribution.

Recirculation systems are treated with a Bacta-Pur® XLG to reduce soluble organic materials and to help keep the biofilters clear of organic solids. The product is applied weekly at dose rate of one liter of Bacta-Pur® XLG or Bacta-Pur® XLG(A) per 1,000,000 liters of pond water .

Settling ponds are treated with Bacta-Pur® XLG to solubilize the sludge and remove soluble pollutants. Four liters of Bacta-Pur® XLG has to be applied per 1,000,000 liters of pond water. The weekly dose rate of Bacta-Pur® XLG is preactivated for 24 hours. The mixture is then diluted 10 to 100 times with pond water and is sprayed over the surface of the pond.
