The Bacta-Pur® XLSW(A) includes the Bacta-Pur® XLSW together with Bacta-Pur® ACTIVATOR® 1 & 2.

Bacta-Pur® XLSW is a liquid suspension of balanced community of natural beneficial microorganisms, which have been selected to biodegrade organic waste. It converts pollution into bacterial biomass, which becomes natural healthful food for fishes and invertebrates. Bacta-Pur® XLSW was developed expressly for use in salt and brackish water to improve water quality and to convert wastes into natural food.

Bacta-Pur® ACTIVATOR 1 & 2 are ECOPREBIOTICS™, essential nutrients for manual batch pre activation of bacteria to maximize their number and production of enzymes for digestion of organic solids. They do not contain animal products. They are provided in small bags.

Shrimp ponds are treated with one liter of Bacta-Purr XLSW applied weekly to each hectare of shrimp pond. For extremely polluted ponds this dose can be applied twice weekly. The dose rates assume a depth of 1 meter. For ponds that are 2 m in depth, the dose rate should be doubled.

The application technique consists of pre activating Bacta-Pur® XLSW for 24 hours. The Bacta-Pur® XLSW(A) should be used for manual batch pre activation of Bacta-Pur® XLSW. Four bags of each Bacta-Pur® ACTIVATOR 1 & 2 are attached to each bottle of Bacta-Pur® XLSW(A). After 24 hours of pre activation an equal amounbt of Bacta-Pur® N3000 is then added. The mixture is stirred for 30 minutes.  Following the pre activation the mixture should be diluted 20 to 100 times with pond water to ensure an even distribution onto the surface of the pond. The Bacta-Pur® can be applied near the pond aerators, or by  boat with a sprayer assembly.
