Bacterial culture must be in optimal physiological condition to accomplish the targeted task in the available retention time. This is particularly critical in short retention times systems (e.g. drains, grease traps, sewers). All bacteria products must be dormant to have shelf life. Effective treatment requires that the bacteria cultures are pre activated prior to addition to wastewater. Activation is not enough for grease and sludge digestion. Bacteria must be famished prior to entering grease trap, drains and sewers.
BIOLOGICAL CLEANING OF SEWER WITH Bacta-Pur® SYSTEM
The City of New Bedford, MA was having problems with sewers blocking due to grease accumulation. Grease build up was restricting flow, and hydrogen sulfide levels were causing excessive ventilation in a lift station. The sewers were filmed and videotaped, by officials from the City prior to beginning with Bacta-Pur® treatment and again following 12 months of treatment. The initial filming, of the section of sewer to be treated, was not complete. This was because accumulated grease prevented the camera from getting through. Twelve months of treatment showed that the grease had not only been digested but the pipe was cleaned to the point that the joints were visible.
SLUDGE DIGESTION IN WASTEWATER LAGOON
How to prepare and apply the Bacta-Pur® sludge digesting bacteria to reduce organic sludge in sewage lagoon without hauling it away. This video clip was made by Air Diffusion Systems.

TREATMENT OF EUTROPHIC LAKE WITH ECOPROBIOTICS® & AERATION
The lake Bleuet, in Saguenay Quebec, was declining toward an advanced stage of eutrophication. In 2006, the Société d'Aménagement du lac (Blueberry Lake Association) decided to install the aeration and apply the beneficial Bacta-Pur® bacteria to reduce sediments and excessive growth of algae. All material was provided bu CanadianPonds.ca Ltd. One year after the installation of the aeration and application of ECOPROBIOTICS®, the lake conditions were beyond their expectations. While other lakes in Quebec are being closed due to problems with algae, Lac Bleuet is in excellent condition. The video clip of story coverage made by television network, TVA in Quebec, Canada.
ECOPROBIOTICS®
are communities of beneficial natural bacteria, which have been selected for their synergistic ability to biodegrade pollutants and to improve water quality. Just as people take probiotic yogurt to assure the presence of the optimal community for digestion and immunity, ECOPROBIOTICS®, the “probiotic yogurt” FOR Mother Nature, improve ecosystem health, ecoimmunity™ and increase biodiversity.
